Located on Western Road amidst Brighton Town Centre, the existing building occupies ground floor retail with office spaces at the two upper floors. The proposed scheme encompasses refurbishment of the retail spaces and conversion of the office spaces to HMO residential units whilst also including an upward extension for further residential space. A vast amount of structural works was implemented in order to strengthen the integrity of the building and to free up the retail unit for occupancy. The team worked closely with Brighton & Hove City Council in order to retain the architectural characteristics of the building whilst also improving the overall offering of the property. Build cost £3M with an 12-month construction programme.
